Officially licensed from the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. Design by Tlingit artist James Johnson
Partnering with the Smithsonian on a range of officially licenced writing instruments, Retro 51 are excited to show off this new addition to the limited edition series from the National Museum of the American Indian. Featuring illustrations by Tlingit artist, James Johnson, this distinctive Tornado rollerball portrays the origin story of how the Raven stole the sun and brought light to the World. Depicted in colourful lacquer and in traditional Tlingit style, this striking pen honours the Tlingit tradition and carries a piece of history its design. Utilising a capless rollerball refill the pen glides effortlessly across the page, whilst the twist action cap has knurled detailing for additional grip. The broad profile and pleasing weight make using the Tornado a real joy. As Retro 51 says “Life is too short to carry an ugly pen!”
