To use your fountain pen converter, follow these simple steps:

• Remove the cap from your fountain pen and unscrew the barrel. Remove any ink cartridge that maybe inside the barrel.
• Taking your converter, turn the top screw part of the converter anti- clockwise until the inside “corkscrew” has reached the bottom of the converter. This ensures any air is displaced from the ink chamber.
• Insert the converter into the nib section of the fountain pen, ensuring it fits securely.
• Submerge the nib part of the fountain pen into a bottle of ink and turn the screw part of the converter clockwise to draw ink into the chamber.
• Turn the screw part of the converter anti-clockwise again to force any air bubbles out of the chamber and help maximize the amount of ink drawn in.
• Re-submerge the nib in the bottle of ink and turn the screw clockwise again to continue filling the chamber with ink.
• Replace the barrel onto the nib section of the pen and you can begin writing with bottled ink!

I am personally a big fan of writing with fountain pens. I ave quite a collection, alongside a collection of different coloured inks. i have tried different converters, but these are perfect. The ink is drawn up by a twist plunger rather than a sliding one, and this allows you to make sure that you have the maximum amount of ink in your pen, without making a mess everywhere.
