Refill Guide
Choosing the correct refill for your pen is important, but sometimes it hard to know which is right. Some brands have specific sizes and profiles to fit their pens, some take standard sizes, some brands even do refills designed for other brands. Pen Heaven have come up with this easy to use refill guide to help you navigate your way through the many options available.
Generally if you want a refill for your pen look for a branded refill that matches your pen and type. If you can't find a branded refill this is usually because the manufacturer does not make specialised refills and your pen will take the International Standard for that writing type.

Parker Ink Cartridges
Standard
Short
Parker use two types of ink cartridge. Both are compatible with all Parker fountain pens. The only difference being the size and thereby the amount of ink they hold and how long they will last before needing to be changed.
Parker ink cartridges use 'Quink' ink technology which utilises alcohol in the ink instead of water, creating a very quick drying and smudge resistant ink.
Parker Quink Short Cartridges are the International Standard Short ink cartridge size.

Hello, I'm trying to find a refill for my silver Hermes pen (mini). A Waterman Titane fits it, but I can't find more for sale anywhere, a refill of nearly 4 inches long. Can you recommend? Thank you.

I am looking for the refill for a Sheaffer Japan ballpoint which has a black dot on the tip of the clip and has a black plastic textured grip and a click on off button at the top which is spiring loaded.
The iscription is Sheaffer and Japan.
The K refill appears to be too long for it.

Alternatively, the Japanese made pens were sometimes made in conjunction with Sailor pens, so a Sailor branded refill may fit.

I have a ballpoint pen of unknown manufature that has a refill measuring 70 mm long by 5 mm at the non writing end the main width of the refill is approx 2 mm. The refill looks like a small version of a "Cross" refill. Can you let me know if it is possible to get a refill this size

Can you remove the plastic screw section? If this removes, it is likely that you need a multifunction ballpoint refill which you would place this plastic top on the end of.

I am looking for a ballpoint refill compatible to a Sailor 83-09 (Fine), which is metal 90mm long and 3mm in diameter (ink and ballpoint tip) with a crimp at 32-34mm. The very thin stainless steel pen was manufactured in Japan and sold by Shaeffer in the U.S. in the early 1980's. A bit hard to find a comparable refill. I appreciate any advice you may offer. Hi,
I have a brushed steel Fountain pen made by Taylor Pen Co, Goring on Thames, Reading. It's a lovely pen and would love to use it but it didn't have a refill fitted when I received it. I have tried the std international refill, but the inside diameter of the refill is too small. The inside diameter of the grip section is around 5.5mm and the outside diameter of the feed is around 3.1mm. Would the Lamy refill be the correct type? Hoping you may be able to help out.

Hi, can you help me with refill "NIJI 4009SF Capless"? I have just photo of refill so can not measure. It is for pen made for Lanvin and it was gift from person not anymore with us. Any replacement? Thanks.

Trying to find refills for a Lamy stainless steel ballpoint pen purchased in Paris at the Pommpadieux (sic) Museum a while back. It is 5 1/2 inches long and very thin and industrial looking. The barrel has 8 rows on circular piercing extended to a pocket clip at the top end. The point end unsrews. Have any idea where I might find these refills? thanks.

Hi there. Please can you help me. I have a very old silver pen with no brand name, the current refill is an old plastic (like the bic pens) sstraight but with two knobs about two cm from the bottom. Can you suggest a refill please.

I got a lovely CROSS pen for Christmas. I believe it is a Classic Century rollerball pen. The problem is that the tip is too wide for me and I almost can't read my own writing. Is there a suitable fine tip refill that would work with this type of pen? I don't mind if it comes in black or blue colour. Many thanks

Unfortunately Cross do not make a fine tip version of the refill for this pen. When looking at other brands refills, it really depends on if you have the old or the new Cross Classic Century Rollerball model.
If the diameter of the barrel is ~8mm, this is the older model and we do not know of any compatible refills which are a finer writing point.
If the diameter of the barrel is ~10mm, this is the newer model. Whilst we could not find an exact match compatibility wise, we did find 1 refill in our collection which when inserted into this pen protrudes enough to write with, but it does look a little odd. This is the Faber-Castell Fineliner Refill: https://www.penheaven.co.uk/faber-castell-fineliner-refill. This has an extra fine 0.4mm fibre tip.

Hello! I have a Cross Century II rollerball pen with a M felt tip refill. What other felt tip refills fit this pen? I would love to use MontBlanc, but I am bot sure their felt tip refill will fit. Any suggestions? I like broad and wet felt tips. Many thanks!

Hi. I have a 1970s vintage 14K gold medici diamond Shaeffer Roller Ball pen for which I am seeking a refill. Neither classic nor slim refill versions fit - both are right length but are too wide at the nib tip and cannot pass through the end section of the pen. Following research, I have only been able to find the fountain pen version of this model online and it may be mine is now the only roller ball pen of this model in exxistence?
Have Schaeffer changed their refill dimensions since early 70s or can you advise an alternative third party substitute. Can send you a photo if it would be of any use.

End to end (uncapped) - 111mm
Barrel - 90mm
Stepped tip section - 21mm (5mm larger step and 16mm thinner part to tip)
Diameter - 6mm

I have just purchased the Cross X Series in the rollerball and I am having huge issues with it, the ink is not consistent and keeps blotting. It has already been replaced twice in less than a week. Is this a standard issue with the cross rollerball refill and is it possible to get a ballpoint to replace it? Love the pen just can't rely on the refill.

Is there a gel refill for the Parker rollerball? Their gel refills say they fit all parked pens but they are a completely different shape and length. Thanks

I have a brushed steel Fountain pen made by Taylor Pen Co, Goring on Thames, Reading. It's a lovely pen and would love to use it but it didn't have a refill fitted when I received it. I have tried the std international refill, but the inside diameter of the refill is too small. The inside diameter of the grip section is around 5.5mm and the outside diameter of the feed is around 3.1mm. Would the Lamy refill be the correct type? Hoping you may be able to help out.
