I bought this as a stand-in for a battered Parker Sonnet II, whose lid was becoming worringly loose. I was drawn to the idea of a screw-cap, which as well as being very practical, adds a certain drama to the commencement of writing. I don't think I'll look for a pricier pen for a while yet. This writes beautifully (for me: I have shocking handwriting), is very well balaced and has a real heft to it. It is a little on the large size for my pudgy little hands, but still very comfortable, even over extended use. I can thoroughly recommend this for personal use, or as a truly thoughtful gift. 8th Nov, 2011
